Used as an effective treatment for a number of health conditions, through manipulating the deeper muscles in the body, remedial massage can provide a therapeutic effect for our clients many needs.

Remedial & Holistic massage – with Pia
“I qualified in Osteopathy in 1994 and worked as an Osteopath for 10 years in Plymouth before giving up my osteopathic registration to look after my children. I came back to work as a Massage Therapist in Plymouth in 2008 and absolutely love it!
I offer massage sessions for specific problem areas, or for deep relaxation.
I have a unique style, combining head and heart! … My background in Osteopathy means I always start off thinking diagnostically when I first meet you to understand and take note of problem areas and pre-existing medical conditions. Once I have established my Massage treatment plan for you, I begin to work more intuitively, drawing on my many years of experience and my empathetic nature.
It goes without saying that each session is tailor-made to you, using techniques ranging from relaxing effleurage to deeper soft tissue and fascial release, joint articulation and muscle energy technique. As a qualified yoga teacher I can also advise on exercise and lifestyle.”

Our Plymouth sports massage can help with muscle strains and rehabilitation as well as headaches and general aches and pains. After treatments my clients report a sense of release and wellbeing.
I use a combination of Sports injury massage and Remedial Massage techniques together with some Osteopathic techniques to give my clients the best possible chance of recovery.

” A therapeutic massage from Pia is an experience to die for. Her hands are absolutely magic and stresses and strains just fade away”
“Could not recommend them highly enough!
Suffering from a tennis shoulder injury and had my 1st visit today.
After a few questions and testing, issue was diagnosed and treatment started straight away with instant relief.
Now have a plan and set of exercises to assist with recovery.
Very helpful, knowledgeable and experienced staff. …”

“I can vouch for Mike as both an extremely experienced osteopath and acupuncturist. An agonising bout of sciatica was eased after only a single treatment.”
Valerie, 72, Retired Teacher
I contacted Mike after being in some considerable pain and prescribed diazepam by my GP. I can honestly say that after my second visit, which was today, the difference is incredible. Highly recommended for the ‘practical’ benefit of how much better I feel but also for the friendly, honest and warm nature that I have experienced.

“I was referred by my GP due to worsening arthralgia and back pain. My GP was also a patient and told me what to expect.
I was delighted that most of the treatment was gentle and effective. It keeps my muscles and joints mobile and reduces my pain and stiffness enabling me to enjoy life more.
I would highly recommend P.O.C. and have done on many occasions.”
